“Our experienced tour guide will show you the authentic side of Mykonos. Aside from its cosmopolitan status the island has an authentic side which you will discover by touring the villages, the little harbors and its magnificent remote beaches. A unique experience you should not miss.”

Itinerary

Day1

See the hidden corners of the island of Mykonos many of them inaccessible unless by jeep. Enjoy breathtaking views, rural areas, beautiful beaches and the unique feeling of driving in a jeep!
Starting from your Hotel at 9:30 a.m., our tour takes us first along the coast to Houlakia beach and from there up to the light house. From there we drive through the area of Marathi past the dam and Panormos beach to the bay of Agios Sostis. Then we drive to the area of Ano Mera where we have a stop at Paleokastro, ruins of a Venetian Castle. We explore the area around Ano Mera with its agriculture and the nearby old abandoned mine, and we pass to Ftelia Beach the windy beach for windsurfing, and after we have lunch with traditional tastes at Mykonian Spiti. Then we continue along the south coast and drive past Kalo Livadi through the green area of Halara. Our last stop is at Kalafatis Beach where we have time for a coffee and a swim. From there we head back for Mykonos town having as the last highlight of the tour, a photo-stop at the old castle above the city. The tour ends at your Hotel at 6pm.

Mykonos lies in the central-west Aegean Sea. It is a small island with an area of 85 sq. km., a shoreline of 80 km and a population of 5,500 citizens. More than just a “clubbing capita”, Mykonos is as close to paradise as every one can imagine, with its breathtaking golden beaches, cosmopolitan restaurants, quaint windmills and white churches with colourful domes, winding marble streets, historical treasures and picturesque town – all promising unexpected delights. Fabulous resorts and family-friendly beaches buzz with excitement, unspoilt coves and traditional town with vibrant culture, await your discovery.

Visitor can taste the delights of the island through sailing along the south coast; day dream on a traditional boat drifting along the waves of the Aegean Sea, swim in the crystal-turquoise waters and relax on the powdery sun-bleached sand of deserted beaches. Take a break from the beach to explore the town with the white-washed houses, Lovely gardens, pomegranates, churches with multi-coloured domes, go century hopping in the romantic area of Little Venice and search for hidden treasures among its Venetian colourful houses which are “washed” by the waves of the Aegean Sea. As the sunsets painting the sky in brilliant reds, you can stroll along the homey taverns for sampling Mykonos’ delicious cuisine and wine and participating in the exuberance of the town’s renowned clubs. Mykonos, where the pace of life is easy and the people are forever with a smile, offers everything to make a traveller’s visit an unforgettable and fascinating experience long remembered.

Port Information

Mykonos has 2 main ports: the old and the new port. The old port is used only for excursions to the neighbouring island of ancient Delos. The new port of Tourlos is 2,5klm away from the City of Mykonos. The number of ferries that anchor into the port of Mykonos has dramatically increased during the last decade. 10 to 12 ferry boats anchor at the port of Mykonos daily between May and September. 2 or 3 cruise ships arrive daily in the port and 6 or 10 cruises anchor here during summer weekends.

The new port of Mykonos is located a few meters away from the City of Mykonos and you can easily get there even on foot (10minutes walk)
