Afternoon Walking tour of Athens

Meet your guide/assistant at Syntagma Square to explore the most beautiful part of the city center with this walking tour. We start by visiting Syntagma Square , the Parliament and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier where we will see the changing of the guard. Next, we will pass Hadrian’s Arch and head to the Plaka area, the oldest part of the city, with narrow, picturesque streets. In Plaka there are several stores to buy souvenirs and traditional style taverns. We will take the road to Filopappos Hill via the wonderful pedestrian street of Dionisiou Aeropagitou observing all the surrounding monuments of the Acropolis Hill and the Filopappou Observatory. We will climb to Filopappou Hill (called the Hill of the Muses) to enjoy the beautiful view of the Parthenon and part of the city. Soon after, we will pass the Roman Agora and finally taste the famous “Souvlaki” at a traditional restaurant near Monastiraki Square. The tour will end at Monastiraki Square
