Activities

Day 1

Pick up from your hotel in the center of Athens for the Sightseeing Tour of Athens. This tour allows you to see the most important monuments and sites of the city. Visit the Acropolis, the Parthenon Temple and the National Archaeological Museum, rich and famous for its treasures. Right after, visit “Papagiannakos Winery”, at Mesogaia, Attica. There stands the Temple of Artemis, the haunt of the famous god of wine, Dionysus. This is an area where the ancient method of wine production has been maintained for centuries and the vine has been lovingly cared for. This is also the site where “Papagiannakos Winery” is situated. Set among vines, you can find the first Greek winery, specially designed and constructed according to innovative bioclimatic standards, marking a new era. The winery has been built in the place of an old monastery and is located in the heart of the Attican Vineyards. After a short visit to the vineyards, you will enjoy a wine tasting experience including the most important “labels” of the House, accompanied by valuable comments and explanations about the production, the ways of processing and treatment of a professional Sommelier. In addition, you will enjoy an excellent lunch, chosen with care from our specialist.
Early in the afternoon, you will discover the imposing Cape Sounion, well known not only for the ruins of the ancient Temple of Poseidon dating back from 44 BC, but also for its panoramic view across the Aegean Sea. Enjoy a breathtaking place of gorgeous sunsets, a place of great archaeological value and mythical aura. Early in the evening, return to your hotel in Athens.
