Then proceed to the town of Nafplion (short photo stop) and continue to the area of Nemea, nearby, to have an unforgetable noon, in the vineyard and winery of “Bairaktaris”. In 2008, Domaine Bairaktaris opened its doors at the city entrance, under the shadow of the temple of Nemean Zeus. In the beautiful building, you can discover modern technological equipment and modern methods of wine making, used so that every wine variety gets its unique characteristics, along with the experience and love of local workers for their job. In Domaine Bairaktaris the varieties are growing in low quantity productivity per 10.800 square meters and include: Agiorgitiko, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Roditis, Savatiano and Moschofilero varieties. In this extraordinary place, you will enjoy a delicious lunch, with traditional local tastes and “perfumes”, accompanied with the famous labels of the winery. Departure for Ancient Olympia early in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

The land and the climate are particularly well suited for the production of high-quality wines and the vineyards are certified for Best Farming Practice. The estate grows more than 15 varieties of grape of both Greek and international origin, from which the wines are produced. Day 3

Arachova - Delphi - Athens   (B-L)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, you will have the option to visit the Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke and where the site of the omphalos, the “naval of the world” was situated (supplement charge of 39,00 euro). For those who will not wish to visit the Temple and the Museum, there will be leisure time in Arachova, a mountain town well renowned for its colorful rugs and carpets. There, you can take a nice walk or stop for a coffee break. Afterwards, departure for “Argyriou Winery”. The history of the estate dates back to the year 1998, when the first vineyards were planted. In 2002 the first wines, Erohos red and Erohos white, were vinified. Today the vineyards have reached 290 acres, which is enough to meet the demand for wine that comes exclusively from proprietary vineyards. The property currently produces nine different types of wine, placing a special emphasis on the cultivation of Greek forgotten varieties, as well as on the production of high quality wines. In 2009, a pioneering  unit with the view to promoting wine tourism was created in Polydroso, operated by the members of the Argyriou family. This enables guests, both to try the variety of wines of the estate in the specially designed place (cellar) and to reside in Polydroso, enjoying at the same time the local cuisine, as well as the various activities that the area has to offer. A great and traditional lunch will follow your wine tasting experience in this spectacular mountain area, in the famous Katoi restaurant. After lunch, return to Athens in the afternoon.
